NOTE: Advanced culinary techniques, butchery and using other proteins are taught in the next level of Culinary Classics, for which Fundamentals Level 1 & 2 is a prerequisite. All youth will need to purchase a Junior Chef Kit if this is their first time attending. Menus will focus on using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and developing the skill of cooking without needing to even have a recipe. Teens will build their confidence, make new friends and experience how food can bring us together for more connection.

Our Saturday Fanjoy Culinary Fall Flavors cooking class will focus on learning the fundamentals of knife skills, using heat to create flavour, wet & dry cooking techniques, basic sauce making and how to use what is at hand in the kitchen to reduce food waste.
